What You’ll Do

As part of the Costing Module team, you will:

• Develop detailed cost estimates for solar projects, including material costs, labor, logistics, equipment, and overheads

• Conduct cost analysis for various components, such as PV modules, inverters, BOS components, and structural systems, and create cost models for procurement

• Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to align cost estimates with project requirements, specifications, and performance standards

• Prepare and maintain project budgets, ensuring that costs remain within the allocated budget and identifying potential cost overruns early on

• Use software tools and financial models to calculate ROI, LCOE (Levelized Cost of Energy), CAPEX, OPEX, and break-even points for solar projects

• Provide cost forecasts, cash flow analysis, and funding requirements to support financial planning and project financing

• Conduct cost-benefit analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities, value engineering, and optimizations

• Track cost variations and analyze reasons for discrepancies from the initial budget, providing actionable insights for cost control

• Maintain and update cost databases, benchmarks, and pricing references based on market trends and supplier negotiations

• Assist in pricing strategies for tender submissions, ensuring that cost models align with client expectations and regulatory compliance

• Work closely with project managers, finance teams, and senior leadership to optimize project profitability and achieve financial goals

Who Should Apply

• Qualified in Finance, Engineering, or Business with a focus on project costing and financial analysis

• Experienced in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial modeling for large infrastructure or renewable energy projects
